Company Timeline

1974 - The “Original 2PLUS2”  four panel sliding patio door was introduced. 

Mid 1980’s - Standard launched it´s Renaissance line of PVC patio doors, providing a high end two panel PVC patio door to compliment the four panel aluminum 2PLUS2 product.

Late 1980’s - Standard began manufacturing it´s own line of energy-efficient sealed units using warm edge spacer technology. Standard also developed a non-wearing, non-corrosive, self-lubricating roller - the heart of our door.

Early 1990’s - Low-E coatings were added to the line of energy efficient products to provide even greater energy saving in our patio doors.

Mid 1990’s - Standard developed its patented “Level 40” sliding patio door hardware, providing the highest security resistance in North America, and has included it with every 2PLUS2 and Renaissance patio door as a standard feature ever since.

2003 - Standard developed the ODYSSEY patio door for the fast growing, competitively priced market place.

2005 - Standard came out with the STYL patio door line, offering an elegance, never seen before in a PVC sliding patio door .
